As one who has been playing WoW off and on (more on then off) over the last 5 years, I have found many websites that have information on WoW. Some of these sites are more reliable then others, and not all are created equally. Where I find certain sections of information I need on one site, I will jump to another site if I need another part of that information. With all that in mind, I have decided to compile a list of my recommendations when it comes to good places to get in-game info, add-ons, or anything else I think you should check out!

General Guides & Help:

*Thottbot.com: This is a very useful and thorough website for all kinds of information. I use it to find mobs, locations, and all sorts of random things.

*WoWHead.com: Another useful database site with all sorts of info.

*WoWWiki.com: Yet another database site, however this one has a lot of lore and legend that is associated with the game and previous installments of warcraft.

*WoW Insider: This is an amazing site that give you game updates, as well as blogs concerning every class and suggestions on how to play them, as well as how to deal with any nerfing or buffing you may get from patches and hot fixes.

*Curse.com: Curse is the ONLY site that I trust to get my addons from. I know that other people will swear by other sites, and say that more then just Curse can be trusted, but I have had bad experiences with  several addon sites. Curse is the only one that I have never had a problem with when it comes to getting hacker addons or malware.

Class Specific:

I have added a section for each class. If nothing else, there is a link to the official Blizzard site for each class.

Death Knights

*DeathKnightBuilds.com: For those looking to experiment or are struggling to get the right death knight build, this site is great for some guidance.

*DK Blood Tank Build: I used to tank pre-Cata in a frost build, but since that is no longer viable, I have finally decided to try my hand at blood tanking. So far it seems to be okay. I still find it difficult at times to hold aggro at the beginning of a fight, but this should be solved if DPS would simply understand to give you a second to grab aggro.

Druids

Hunters

*WoW-Petopia.com:This is the most complete and all inclusive guide to Hunter Pet's available.

*Warcraft Hunters Union: A good site to get hunter info. Includes builds, guides to getting some of the rarer pets, etc.

Mages

Paladins

*Protection Build 1: This is a tanking build that should bridge the gap between dungeons and raids. I have been testing it out in dungeons and it seems to work very well so far. I have not tried it in heroics or in raids yet. If you use it please let me know how it works for you.

*Retribution Build 1: A basic start to a PvE DPS build. Use it and tell me what you think.

Priests

Rogues

Shaman

Warlocks

Warriors

Progress and Ratings:

*WoW-Heroes.com: This is the site that I use to determine if/when people have the appropriate gear to run heroics

and raids.

*ArmoryLite.com: This is a great, low resource site to view someones current gear. Very quick to load and use for reference.

*WoW Progress.com: This is a place to see a rating for different guilds accross all servers, or server specific.

*WoW Juju.com: This site has some general info but the only thing that I go to this site for is their reputation calculator. If you are wanting to figure out your standings with someone specific, and how to get your standings to exalted, this is a great site to use.

Podcasts:

*All Things Azeroth: This is an amazing podcast to listen to. Medros and Shade give tons of advice when it comes to learning parts of the game, as well as some hilarious segments on their show. I would recommend this to anyone wanting something funny and WoW related to listen to.

*WoW Insider Weekly Podcast: I have just started to listen to this one. It gives a general over view of the weeks news in WoW. If there was patches or hotfixes, they talk about what has changed.

*Circle of Healing: This is a great podcast for the priests out there. They talk about a couple different aspects of how to effectively heal. They also cover what changes have happened and what changes will come for the priests in patches and hotfixes.

*Warcraft Hunters Union Podcast: This is the podcast that is produced by the Warcraft Hunters Union. They talk about all things hunter!
